There is huge evolution is usage habits as well as the ways digital media has encompassed its audience. With more and more apps, websites and social media coming in, the digital media has grown as a wild beast that has engulfed the minds of its consumers. As the top 1000 digital media websites and video channels have 16.8 monthly visits of which almost 11.3 of these are via mobile.

The other thing mobile penetration has boosted is online shopping via mini devices. Out of $90 billion dollars that have been generated via digital sales over the last quarter of 2015, $15.6 billion is the result of online shopping. The shopping apps are the bigger source of attraction which led the customers to web stores, but it has been observed that big-screened devices are preferred for more significant purchases.  The most frequent purchases were video games, toys, and sports items. Making it simple and sound for those who are habitual shopping via phones is not easy.  Moreover, the shopping has to be secure, not distracting and highlighting more important details to help making better purchase decision.  Smartphones have gotten most of the things right, but a real shopping experience still needs to work on.
