After a very humble start, Sony devices are now consistently getting updated to Lollipop. You can now see a list of devices every other week or so.The latest handsets upon which the Lollipop 5.0 has been bestowed are Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact, Z3 Dual, and Z Ultra. For Xperia Z1 the download size of the file is 738MB, and you need 1.2GB of free spaceat least on your internal storage before attempting the update. The whole process will take around 20 minutes.After the update has been applied, you will be on build version 14.5.A.0.242. The details for the rest of the aforementioned phones will slightly differ but the rollout of update will surely start today. Next week, Lollipop will updated to Sony’s Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 and their dual-SIM version. After that, the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, and Xperia Tablet Z will be updated.
