The Sony Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact which were released previous month, are now receiving a patch to for the Stagefright exploit. All variants of both handsets along with Xperia Z5 Dual will receive the update anytime soon.

Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact will now get Stagefright patch

The file has a size of 281MB while carrying build number 32.0.A.6.152. The update –for the ones who have already received it –has improved camera performance, manages the heat of the processor, and delivers comparatively better fingerprint sensor responsiveness.

The OTA update is now on roll out for many regions, so it will probably hit your device anytime soon. But if you are too impatient to go for it, you can check manuallythrough Sony’s PC app.
