“iOS 9 is also off to an amazing start, on pace to be downloaded by more users than any other software release in Apple’s history,” Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior market VP, commented in the press release on Monday.

The rollout that started last Wednesday where iOS 9 came with variety of features. Apple is now updating its iPhone, iPads and iPod Touch devices with feature enhancements and refinements that tempts the user to upgrade his system.

This is certainly a better adoption rate as compared to predecessor, the iOS 8 started rolling out on September on September 17 and accomplished an adoption rate of 48% on September 22, 2014, as estimated by the App store. For, now the latest iOS 9 adoption has set a new record but it is likely to expand further which probably up to 52% till October 10.

iOS8 suffered several technical issues which led to its slow seeding in the system. But just before the successors launch, it also managed to achieve an 87%adoption rate. Considering the woes of iOS 8, Apple built a more reliable and sustainable system apart from enhancing and refining features. Despite how previous iOS plagued Apple, even the latest iOS 9 has been found of app crashes and bugs.

“The big picture here though is that this is the standard environment for a new operating system launch,” Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster said. “There are always going to be a spectrum of bugs but they should be solved within a few days. Apple can’t get an OS to be stable until they have the full force of their base using it.”

Apple 50% adoption is definitely higher than other third party firmware. Mixpanel reported iOS adoption 29% on Saturday and 36% on Monday. FTapjoy said “Monday that it’s seeing a 28 percent adoption of iOS 9 across all Apple devices” and“Fiksu estimated a 32 percent adoption rate as of Monday”.

Apple usually reports high numbers when compared to third party analytics which gather their data from mobile App usage among Apple device. Further Apple comes with better features to promote a better performing OS. It offers Note App for to create checklists, draw sketches and add attachments. Also, the Apple Maps offers significant mass-transit information which includes schedules and subway station entrances for urban locales such as New York City, the San Francisco Bay Area, Mexico City and Beijing. In addition, iOS 9 delivers a better battery life where a new low-power mode shut down certain features while running less than 20 percent battery charge. With split-screen you can easily do your multi-tasking, but it is only compatible with iPad Air 2 or later iPads. An amazing app called News will let you know stories all around the world.
