Something we should get excited about sometimes becomes something which we worry. Mobile data is all what people need today on the go and they care if it drains too quickly. Undoubtedly, we run apps that consume internet even if we are not using it, which is why people look upon finding ways to limit data consumption.

How to drain less mobile data by stopping automatic play of videos on Facebook.

Facebook is one such app that runs automatic video that consume some amount of mobile data all along. Currently, many users are worrying the use of apps like Facebook and WhatsApp, which heavily take out the data consumption. With features like automatic video playing, it becomes evident that a nice chunk of data is drained by these apps.

You can now avoid this data consumption.

  1. Open the Facebook Android App, and Open Setting Menu.
  2. In the Setting Menu, you will see link to profile page, Friends, events, Photos etc.
  3. Scroll down to Help and Setting option and choose App Setting.
  4. Under General setting look for Auto-Play.
  5. It has three option; Mobile Data and Wi-Fi Connection, Wi-Fi Connection only and Never Auto Play Videos. Choose according to your requirement.

The same Auto-Play is found in iOS, following the same steps.

Hopefully, you will find your internet consumption more controlled.
