We have received many complaints from WhatsApp users that sometimes it gets stuck and we are unable to connect it. Here are some tips how to avoid this or check why you are having this problem.

How to fix when you cannot connect to WhatsApp.

If you cannot connect online, the important thing is to check your Wi-Fi, otherwise, go to flight mode, and then switch back to the Wi-Fi mode. You can also restart the phone if connection saga does not work.

Also seek whether your phone is not dropping the connection while on sleep mode. If you believe that your broadband is working properly, check your wireless router and try to restart it.

If you are on mobile data, check whether it is working properly. Also see whether you have restricted Background Data Usage via Data Usage Menu. You have to check if your APN settings are correctly configured esp. when your Wi-Fi is working but your mobile data is not working.

If you have checked that there is no problem with your Wi-Fi and mobile data then check for latest updates for your WhatsApp.

For Android users, Go to Google Play, Click three lines on top left and choose my Apps, and check if there are any updates. On iPhone, open App Store and check for updates at the bottom right of screen.

If it isn’t working still, then uninstall and reinstall the WhatsApp. You can lose conversations but you can create backup by opening the Settings menu within WhatsApp and choosing Preferences, Backup conversations.
