Apple received a lot criticism sticking to 8MP snapper irrespective of the fact it is now an old choice. Now it seems it is retiring from its old option as another source has confirmed a 12MP camera in its next iPhone 6s.

The HIS Technology is the second to confirm this matter and has claimed that both iPhone 6s/6s Plus will have a 12MP rear camera. However, the individual pixel size will be smaller. Most likely reason of

this decision is to keep overall sensor size unchanged while using the same optics or at least minimizing the necessary alterations.
