The speculations are finally over. The much rumored guessing to select the name of next Android OS version has finally come to an end. The company has selected Nougat to be the official name of Android N. That was the top guessed name by the users but surprisingly, it does not have enough following.

At Google I/O, CEO Sundar Pichai announced that the consumers will select the name this time. The most heard name in this struggle was Nutella, but somehow the audience did rule out this option while making the most guess. According to speculation and as per Sundar Pichai the guess started with Indian dessert named ‘Neyyappam’, which had made some english-speakers worried about being able to spell the name. But, now we don’t need to worry about that.

So, finally the N will stand for Nougat. However, now the only brainache left is what will be the version number of the update. As per various rumors the update can be Android 7.0, but few are speculating it to be android 6.1. What would be the entire labelling will soon release in an official announcement.
