The Android M Developer preview, which was launched this May, is getting its first OTA update as per informed by earlier reports.

Google has promised that Android M Preview will receive a few updates for more stability before getting into the hands of general public. These update were supposed to hit roughly around the end of June and July.

Now the first update is out and you can either have new system images from the developer preview website and manually install, or wait for you device to notify you to download it and then install it.

As the original image preview is installed in all devices,the Company estimates that theyshould receive the update within a few days.The preview can still only be installed on the LG Nexus 5, Motorola Nexus 6, HTC Nexus 9, and Asus Nexus Player. The update has fixes which are based on developer’s feedback. It comes with the up-to-date M release platform code, as well as near-final APIs.
