According to the recent statistics published by PTA, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, 6.37 million Mobile Phone users have subscribed to 3G services till December 31st, 2014.The total of 1.41 million customers subscribed the 3G services in December only. Only 3G customer of Ufone that joined in December is not included in the total but PTA included the count of November, 2014. According to the stats 2.26 million subscribed Telenor 3G in December 2014, 1.8 Million joined Zong and 1.6 joined Mobilink till the reported duration. It is yet not mentioned why Ufone count is not included in the December stats.
In 4G race, Zong has 2,242 4G customers till Dec 2014 as compared to November where it is 1,437 4G. Zong is facing serious problems with 4G customers due to coverage limitations. We would definitely be looking forward to what 4G numbers Warid will bring to include in next month’s stats.
