Xiaomi introduces Redmi Note Prime with Beefy 3100mAh battery

Xiaomi has launched its second made-in-India handset, dubbed Redmi Note Prime, after the successful release of Redmi2 Prime. The device will carry a Snapdragon 410 SoC, and packs 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixel.It runs on a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage (expandable), and is powered by 3100mAh beefy battery.

Camera-wise, the Redmi Note Prime offers 13MP rear camera and a 5 MP front facer. The smartphone boots Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI 7 on top, and provides 4G connectivity and dual-SIM support.

Manu Jain, Xiaomi’s India Head, also commented on the event:

“With the launch of Redmi Note Prime, we are glad to provide our Mi Fans an opportunity to upgrade to an even more powerful smartphone with an expanded memory and dual-SIM capabilities,”

Redmi Note prime will currently set you back for INR 8,499 which makes around $125. Currently, the device is selling only on Amazon India, with sales starting from today. In addition to this, it’s also listed on Mi.com, but we are not sure when will it start selling there.
