Xiaomi introduces variant of Redmi Note 3 in China

In November last year, Xiaomi did announce the Redmi Note 3, which was the company’s first phone with all-metal body with fingerprint scanner. Recently, company has announced it’s another variant with few changes along with. The new model is different in two respects, firstly it has replaced the MediaTekHelio chipset with the Qualcomm’s snapdragon 650 accompanying 64-bit 1.8GHz hexa-core CPU. For graphics it has Adreno 510 GPU. The device is compatible to all mobile carriers in China and has 4G+ network connectivity.

Another significant variation is a switch from 13MP at the rear to 16MP with f2.0 aperture and PDA.Keeping the other specifications same like 5.5-inch 1080p display, with 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB memory configurations, thedevice gets it life from whopping 4050mAh battery.

The 16GB model will currently set you back for RMB 999 which is around $151. The 32GB is yet to be announced.

For Indian market, there is good news, this phone will soon be coming to India. Pricing and availability is yet unknown but Xiaomi has started the Redmi Note 3 Explorer Challenge in India. More details will be released later.
