In the recent report, it has been known that Xiaomi is currently aiming for making a record for this year. This new objective by the company is actually based on shipping more than 90 million phones for only this year alone.

This target, if achieved, will actually far exceed the one set and achieved by the company in the previous year, when it managed to ship only 58 million phones. Moreover, 2015 has remained the most effective year for Xiaomi so far, in which the company shipped 70 million phones.

Moreover, in order to reach out to the impressive number vis-à-vis sales and shipping, Xiaomi has also been aiming to cater to the entry-level smartphones, such as new Redmi 5A, whose price is currently $91 or CNY 600.

So far, the company’s target seems achievable, as Xiaomi sold more than 10 million units in September alone. These sales figures have already led the company to secure second spot in Chinese mobile phone market after Huawei. However, Xiaomi already aims to take on Huawei and come to the top spot by 2020.
