Vodafone Foundation education scheme to benefit 5 million African children

Vodafone foundation has expanded the education program to give benefit to five million poor children living in sub Saharan Africa who does not have enough money and facility to get education.The campaign name is “Instant Schools For Africa” which aims to provide support to children living in Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Lesotho, Mozambique and Tanzania. Children and educators will be getting free access to the campaign unlimited.

The campaign is offline to help students who does not have internet access. Vodafone said that a similar type of campaign in South Africa provided benefit to 215,000 children. Vodafone developed this program with the partnership of Charity Learning Equality. The subjects are math and science from primary to secondary school standard. We would like to add further that the sub Saharan Africa has the lowest primary school enrolment and there are 34 million children who are out of primary school.

Andrew Dunnett the Director of Vodafone foundation said “This step will give the poor children a better future and it will transform the millions of children life who does not have education and do not have access to the same material which is given in high end schools”
