Either by mistake or to build fanfare, Samsung US spilled beans over Galaxy S6 Active revealing detailed specs and features. The leak has proved right about its similarities with S5 Active.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active comes with same specs as its regular counterpart packing a 5.1″ Quad HD Super AMOLED display and runs on Exynos 7420 chip with an 8-core processor. The S6 Active further has 32GB non-expandable storage. Camera-wise, it offers a 16MP rear and a 5MP front camera. It is powered by 2,550 non-removable battery.

The Galaxy S6 Active holds 143.5 x 70.6 x 6.85 in dimensions and also weighs the same as Galaxy S6 – 138 g. The hardware control keys are also similar to Galaxy S5 Active but additional hardware Active key has been placed on its left side.

Seemingly the Active moniker is bound to come with  water and dust resistance , but there is no info on S6 Active MIL-STD-810G certification, which will add salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock resistance too. The Galaxy S6 Active are expected to appear in Cameo White and Titanium Black initially but Sammy also plans to experiment with new paintjobs. It might launch with AT&T at first and later with other carriers just like previous Active.

As we see so much in the limelight already on the device,therefore, expect the announcement anytime soon by Samsung.
