Successor of S6, S5 will now start receiving Marshmallow update. The update is currently rolling out with model number SM-GM900L which is listed on South Korean carrier LG UPlus.

The update will naturally come as Marshmallow 6.0.1 and comes with firm developments, speed optimizations and more particularly with multiple bug fixes.

Marshmallow started rolling out to Galaxy S5.

If you own SM-G900L and did not receive an OTA yet, then go for a manual check out in your Settings. There is no info yet on the size of the update and if it will be available to other variants.

The update has been released one month after the Marshmallow OTA has been rolled out to Galaxy S6 and S6 edge smartphones.
