Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy J5 and Samsung Galaxy J7 a couple of days ago in Indian market. At that time it was reported carrying Snapdragon 615 chipset. But sometime after its announcement, it was found carrying a new Exynos 7580 chipset which is worth reporting.

Just like the Snapdragon 615, the Exynos 7580 is an octa-core chipset with eight unspecified CPU cores clocked at 1.5GHz and Mali-T720 MP2 GPU for graphics.

Samsung J7 will be running new Exynos 7580 chipset

Previously the leaked images from Geekbench mark revealed the Exynos chip beating the 615 in CPU benchmarks, although that particular variant was clocked slightly higher at 1.6GHz.
