This year Samsung announced its best smartphones to date names Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 S6 Edge. While this duo is considered the best of Android ventures by the company so far, they’re undoubtedly also like iPhone. Yes they are without an SD card, has a non-removable battery and a design which is thorough copy of what Apple has sold in the form of iPhone? Doesn’t it seem logical to buy the iPhone instead?

Samsung is revising S6/S6 edge prices because of declining profits

This is generally not a good impact on users and may be while they are thinking the same, we have seen a decline in company’s profit for straight 5 quarters.

For Samsung, the second half of year is also challenging butthey managed to cope with competition by “adjusting the price” of the S6/S6 Edge flagships, which definitely means lowering them. It will also release several other higher-end phones, such as the S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 which is likely to get released before September to handle the iPhone’s pressure better.

There were two problems faced by Samsung. One, that Galaxy S6 wasn’t as popular as Samsung had hoped. Secondly, the stunning S6 Edge with its curved display was demanded excessively, but it was difficult to produce limited supply of curved edged screen. Expensive advertising campaigns further placed a dent in its profits.

The company earned that profits of $4.93 billion over revenues of $41.7 billion which is alarming, another concern is declining market share, which has gone down to 22 percent compared to 25 percent a year ago in the same quarter.

Now the hopes are for the next two flagship models that will either outrun its competitors if they have some worth showing or just get to the next feeble step for company to sustain its gigantic existence before competitors like Apple.
