Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) has been in the news for quite a time. At one time, it is visiting Geekbench or the other it is getting Wi-Fi certification. Meanwhile, the whole time, we are learning about its specs and features. The device is found listed in the Geekbench once more, along with reports that FCC has passed it recently, so we can say an announcement is expected anytime soon.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (2016) gets FCC certification.

Unfortunately, FCC does not tell us much about the handset just like other listings. The FCC, however, verifies the model number SM-G532F, along with another variant with model number SM-G532F/DS which purports dual-SIM support. Geekbench listing shows MediaTek MT6737T chipset humming at 1.4 GHz processor clock speed carrying 1.5GB RAM.

The predecessor came two years back with 5-inch display, keeping in pockets an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front facer running on modest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410. Inside is 1.5 GB RAM. For now, it appears to be nothing substantial coming with handset, however, we might see incremental upgrades by company to show some value being added for survival of the next generation.
