Samsung has recently update the Security Updates page on its official website. Some of the models released back in 2016 have been removed from the list getting security updates, which will include Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016), J1 (2016) and A3 (2016).

The surprising fact in this page is that the recently launched Galaxy A8+ (2018) is only going to get the quarterly security updates.

This means that this phone will not be getting the monthly updates. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) will be getting the monthly security updates. Some other changes visible in the page include Galaxy J2 (2018) and Galaxy Tab Active 2 getting the updates on quarterly basis.

Lastly, there is still no mentioning about Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ on this list.
