The Samsung upgrade for Galaxy A5 2016 is a fantastic job for its mid-range offering. Though Samsung now seems much focused for it mid-range phones but earlier it also gave enough attention to High-rend offering like S6 and S6 edge. Despite of high aims attached to these devices, Sammy witnessed not so welcoming response from the market. However, the same year Galaxy A series was introduced by Samsung, and it turned out to be a real hit. The folks really liked the design, memory, storage and price of the handsets. It came out that A3, A5 and A7 handsets really grabbed customers’ attention due their amusing offerings.

Currently, the Galaxy A5 (2016) has been out and around. It now comes with complete change in looks built upon an aluminum rear and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 which makes it less of a fragile sort. It now has 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display. The new fingerprint scanner comes embedded in the Home Button. The corners are bit less rounded than before and it also a little taller with rear camera not bulging out excitedly. Here comes more thickness and weight to the Galaxy A5 (2016) as compared to predecessor, which allows it to pack 2900mAh battery totaling a weight of 155 gram. The rear camera is just a bit out but not enough to rock on a desk.

The overall performance of the device has been improved with the integration of new Exynos 7580 chip with 2GB RAM. As far as the economics of A5 is concerned, it not that it looks or feel like a budget phone but it also has the price tag that makes it completely compatible to what it offers in a reasonable manner. Again its battery is 2900mAh and the less demanding hardware is enough to prolong the life of the powerhouse further.

As far as the camera department is concerned, the phone features a 13Mp, f/1.9 rear camera with LED flash, and 5Mp (also f/1.9) at the front. Both cameras are capable of 1080p video at 30fps. What Sammy did to A5 the same it did to S6, it added optical image stabilization. There are no alterations in camera app. It has various modes Pro, Panorama, Continuous Shot, HDR and Night, with an option to download more. There are also real-time effects and, in selfie mode, a Wide Selfie option. It is driven by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. The UI experience is very smooth and the touch is responsive than ever.

Overall it is good budget phone if you are prepping to buy one.
