Samsung has been long renowned for projects with foldable displays. However, Samsung is not planning to keep it for small screens (smartphones and phablets) only. The company will now use the same technology for big screens.

In July 2014, Samsung filed an application to US Patent Office which requested Built-in Stand and Keyboard with tablets having foldable screens. Recently, this patent has been published but it remained undecided whether Sammy will make this device or not.

It is very usual for the companies to file patents and do not work on them. But as it has been filed long ago, Samsung must have done some work on this.

Also, Samsung is expected to build its prototype but a long time is required for prototype and building an actual product.

US Patent Office do not publish details of the patent filed by any company. However, it does mention numbers and drawings. That is why we are unable to grab much info needed to explore the true picture of the idea.
