Report: Apple takes 83% of global mobile profits in first quarter, Samsung sits at 12.9%

According to the latest reports by market research firm Strategy Analytics, of the total operating profit displayed by smartphone players across the globe in the Q1 of 2017, Apple’s share stood at 83.4%. This is up from the 79.8% that was reported for the firm during the same time in 2016.

On the contrary, Samsung took home 12.9%, which is significantly down from the 21.9% in 2016. The company is striving to advance its value to market saturation and sinking margins overall.
