Conflict of interest. Long time we have been seeing Samsung producing amazing Exynos chipset which runs more successfully than QUALCOMM’s. Also, long established that Samsung do not sell the handset on purpose to protect it Chip Making Technology.

Recently, a report revealed that it is otherwise. Qualcomm has put a restriction on Samsung to not to sell its chipsets to other smartphone makers except Meizu.

The report claims that QUALCOMM holds a standard license patent to stop Samsung for selling the Exynos.

The resolution by the Fair Trade Commission sates that “Samsung Electronics has been blocked from selling its modem chipsets to other smartphone manufacturers due to a license deal it signed with Qualcomm.”

Lately, Qualcomm has been abused of market power.

The FTC has already fined QUALCOMM for this practice.
