Qualcomm announces four mid-ranged Snapdragon chipsets

Ever since the Snapdragon 810 controversy there has been an air that Qualcomm’s world only revolves around manufacturing flagship chipsets. However, this is a myth. Every chipset producer’s major revenue revolves around low-end to mid-ranged devices as there is a dire demand of affordable technology these days. Therefore, Qualcomm has not set aside this necessity among developing latest chipsets for upcoming flagships. Recently it has launched four mid-ranged chipset dubbed Snapdragon 620, 618, 425 and 415. The first two were already visiting the rumor mill. The last two, however, are new to the news room. The chipsets are built to add value and bring advance technology to mid-ranged devices. The Qualcomm is aspiring to bring high-end features to every level of product it powers with its chipset. The first milestone of Snapdragon 415 and 425is instead of quad-core design of the 400 series they offer eight-core Cortex A53 setup. Both are also 64-bit supporting the ARMv8 instruction set, based on current 28nm manufacturing technology. Both new 400-series members also bring Quick-charge 2.0, as well as dual image signal processors (ISPs), which are expected enhance camera quality in mid-ranged devices.
