Very recently a teaser confirmed the announcement Oppo R9, successor of R7. This time it has been made official by the company itself. The teaser ads area placed all over China’s subways and stations.The ads teases the launch event to happen on March 17, where Oppo will introduce it handset “9” in the name. This is very obvious what it is talking about.

Contrary to its predecessor, the R9 is likely to be high-end offering. It will be marketed as camera-centric, and may have the support of VOOC fast charging.

The Oppo R9 will allegedly be 6-inch QHD touchscreen. It runs on a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset with 3 or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It is powered by 3,700mAh battery. It has 21 MP rear camera unit with a 13 MP Selfie snapper. It boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow from first day, and would resemble Apple’s iPhone 6s Plus.
