The much awaited smartphones are here. Yes the Oppo R7 and R7 Plus are now official. At an event in Beijing highlighted the company 10-years history followed by announcement of flagship duo.

The 5-inch smartphone R7 comes with AMOLED display of 1080 resolution behind 2.5D glass. The R7 comes with same resolution with edge to edge screen giving a bezelless impression. R7 and R7 Plus pack Qualcomm 615 chipset with a 64-bit octa-core processor and 3GB RAM while built-in storage is 16GB on the R7 and 32GB on the Plus expandable via microSD slot.

Oppo R7 and R7 Plus are now official

Both the R7 and R7 Plus come with a 13MP rear camera behind an f/2.2 lens. The R7 Plus is powered by whopping 4,100mAh battery, while the smaller model packs 2,320mAh cell and both devices support VOOC charging. Only Plus R7 has the fingerprint sensor on the back.

Both smartphones runs the company’s newly announced ColorOS v2.1, built on top of Android Lollipop 5.1. The dual SIM phone has Cat. 4 LTE for download speed up to 150Mbps.

The Oppo R7 is priced at CNY 2,499 ($400 roughly) and the Oppo R7 Plus commands a CNY 500 premium which makes it in international market $480. Both smartphones are now selling in China starting tomorrow on JD.com, while an international launch is evident for mid-June.
