The HMD Global has confirmed officially that the Android 8.1 Oreo Beta update is now rolled out for the Nokia 8 mobile phones. The last major update received by the Nokia 8 was Android 8.0 Oreo, which was sent out in the month of November 2017. The Company’s chief product officer, Juho Sarvikas, has ratified the rollout in a tweet.

The version of Android 8.1 Oreo beta update is 4.82A and its almost 1553.9MB in size. To update your Nokia 8 smartphone OS, you will have to open the Nokia phone beta labs page, and then sign up there with your Google account. After registering there with IMEI number and other particulars, you will receive the Android 8.1 Oreo software update notification within couple of hours. The Nokia 8 smartphone will also receive the latest January security patch along with the update.  Notably, the update is rolled out as an OTA update.
