Jazz Gets 4G Spectrum Officially

Finally, Jazz gets 4G spectrum after paying 100% license fee. Jazz is awarded spectrum by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) officially.It should be kept in mind that only Jazz was interested in 1800 MHz spectrum while no other entities had shown interest in it.

Now, Jazz is a proud sole owner of 4G spectrum. They have paid all 100% license fee and taxes according to sources. The amount for 100% license fee was USD 295 million as a base price and there were an additional 10% counting as taxes to expand its existing 4G coverage in Pakistan.

“This development is truly very exciting for us at Jazz because it allows us to provide Pakistan with a far reaching and enhanced mobile broadband experience,” Aamir Ibrahim, CEO – Jazz said. “Acquisition of the additional spectrum demonstrates Jazz’s investment in the country’s digital future – in line with our vision of becoming a true digital entity.”

This shows Jazz’s commitment towards Pakistan and its people. Jazz’s digital agenda is very clear to advance and expand 4G network as much as possible.
