New York (Monitoring desk) – There are ten useful features in whats app which most of the people are not aware of. These are reported by the English newspaper Express tribune which we are going to explain to our readers

1-      Bold,Italic, strike through

In chatting if you want to bold any word just write (*) in the start and the end. If you want it to write in Italic you write (_) in the start and the end and if you want to place a line on the word then write telda (~) in the start and at the end

2-      Put a monkey’s picture in place of the friends profile picture

Go to your contacts list and copy your friends number.  Change the monkey’s picture name with your           friends number. If there is + sign with its number then delete that. Now change your friends profile picture with the monkey’s pic. You will see the moneys picture instead of your friends post

3-      To remove the Blue ticks with your messages

Go to applications settings

Accounts>Privacy

You will see read receipts options. Uncheck these and now you will not know if your friend has read your message or not. You can read your friends message without letting him know

4-      If you want to read your friends message and does not want him to know that you read his message. Please open the flight mode and he won’t be able to know that you read his message until he opens whats app next time

5-      To save your chat history Go to whats app settings > chats

Open the back up and set the backup frequency. You can set it to weekly or monthly. You can also tick include videos here if you want to back up videos

6-      If you want to send a big size heart to your friends you can type Heartemoji and send it without adding anything more to it

7-      If you want to transfer videos between your phone and computer. Make a group and add your friends in it and then delete them.  Now open whats app web and log in after scanning QR code. Now send your videos to that group and now open chatting in your computer. You will see your videos over there

8-      If you want to assign ringtones to specific friends in whats app. Go to

Its chatting page >custom notifications and then enable them. Now select your desire ringtone.

9-      If you want to hide your last seen but look at others last seen. You send message to your friend and then delete him from your contact list. Chatting would be already saved in the cache memory. Now go to settings > account options and click on privacy

In privacy change last seen to preferences to my contacts

Now you would be able to see his last seen but he won’t.

10-   If you want to change your whats app wall paper which is very easy.

Go to settings > chat> wallpaper and choose the wallpaper of your choice
