The General Manager of HMD Global for Australia and New Zealand region has confirmed that by the end of 2017, Nokia 6, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 will be getting the Android 8.0 Oreo update. This is not the first that we are hearing this news from official sources of HMD; however, this time we are given assurance that HMD will start rolling out this update before the end of 2017.

These 3 Nokia phones mentioned above came with Android 7.1.1 Nougat and have been getting the monthly security and software updates. Though slightly modified, the new version of Android will be its stock version actually.

Moreover, HMD GM also confirmed that Nokia 8 will also get the update of Android Oreo. Now, everyone just has to wait and see when Nokia phones start getting notification for Oreo update.
