Nokia 3 is the budgeted smartphone by HMD Global. It is confirmed by HMD Global that Nokia 3 will skip the Android 7.1.2 Nougat update and it will get directly Android 8.0 Oreo update. This move is just same like to that of Nokia 8; as the Finnish startup has settled to jump over the interim update in order to rollout the new version of Android “Oreo” for its entry level handset.

The Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, Juho Sarvikashas has confirmed the update process for Nokia 3 in a reply to user query on its Twitter page. Since its inauguration in February at MWC, HMD Global has put up faster software update as one of the biggest selling points for its mobile phones. However, HMD Global has decided to update its complete lineup to Android 8.0 Oreo and its flagship smartphone Nokia 8 has already received the update a month ago.
