Google has now introduced the similar feature for web users. These reminders remain on calendar till the task is done. The good thing is that these notifications do not only appear on page but they also appears in Inbox and Google Keep.
The most important thing is that all notifications can sync in all platforms, which means mobile reminders will now appear on desktop.
