Google has been giving App support to Windows, Mac and Linux since 2013. However, Google has recently announced that it will take back Chrome Apps from Mac and Windows. Google prime reason for this action is to make Chrome simpler. Google has recently taken back launch feature of Chrome and Mac.

As per Google, this facility is only taken back from Chrome and Mac users while iOS will still have the support.

Upon Google’s Phase Out Plan, this app support will stay with Mac and Windows till 2016.  The Chrome will not show apps for Linux, Windows and Mac till 2017 but the extension will remain available. Till 2018, everything will be completely obliterated.

However, this end up game is long enough to let the users find alternate easily elsewhere.
