The famous and reliable tipster Evan Blass has purported that the next version of Android 7.0 Nougat will launch next month. The release will come with the first and August’s security up update, as promised. The company will not release the Nougat for Nexus 5 which is a disappointment. However, the phone will receive security updates as per schedule.

The new Android build usually means new Nexus lineup. This is evident as HTC is manufacturing both the Sailfish and Marlin that will soon out with Nougat under the hood.

HTC was also the company behind the very first Nexus. Despite precautions there is a rumor that one Nexus 6P user has received Nougat internal OTA build. The build number is R rather than P indicating it’s a release version and not a preview file. The person revealed that he received a 49MB file whose snapshot also leaked. This happened while he was trying to go back from the Android Developer Preview version of Android 7.0, to Marshmallow.
