Facebook Safety Check feature is used for natural disaster and major incidents. With this feature users can check the safety of their loved ones.

While answering a question during a session in Rome, Mark Zuckerberg said that they are working on feature where the people can themselves activate the safety check.

Mark Zuckerberg said that first this feature was introduced for natural disastrous. However, with increasing terrorism we have expanded this feature to other incident as well.

Mark Zuckerberg did not explain how this safety feature will work and how users can activate it.
