Facebook Scam under Investigation by Emirates, Fake Id Hacking User Accounts.

Fake Facebook Id is using Emirate name and branding to get into the user credit cards or bank details, reported on Tuesday. The scam is in the form of a survey in which user if participants can win 2 free tickets from the airline. Those fulfilling the online survey are prone to scam and their bank accounts aren’t safe.

The id has Emirates logo and the survey post says, “Congratulations! You have been selected to take part in our short survey to get two free Emirates tickets. We only have 332 tickets remaining so hurry up.”

Survey is composed of three questions, it also asks if the traveler ever traveled with the airline or not. After completion when user clicks to the provided link, hacker then has the access and he can steal the personal details which also encircles bank account or credit card information.

“We advise not to click on any links or share these links on social media. Emirates is investigating the source of the scam and will take appropriate legal action against the perpetrators,” said Emirates spokesperson.
