In the CES 2018 event held in the previous week, Sony released two new smartphone of mid-range price, which will be running on Android Oreo. These two new smartphones are called Sony Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra. Both of these phones are currently available for preorder and the price of Xperia XA2 is $349 and XA2 Ultra is $449, respectively.

Although Sony has not changed much the design of its smartphones belonging to the Xperia XA family, still XA2 and XA2 Ultra are a bit better than the previous models namely Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra. The main difference is found with respect to the reduced bottom and top bezels. Another most noticeable thing is the presence of the fingerprint scanners on backside in the recent XA phones. Note that these are the first smartphones by Sony to have fingerprint scanner installed.

Moreover, Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC rather than MediaTek Helio P20 SoC, which were found in case of the last year models. The former processor is more powerful and effective than the latter one.
