This year cellular companies posed a highest growth rate in Pakistan which is 14.43% by cellular companies which have added to the list approx. 23.6 million of users on September 2016.According to a senior PTA official, the number of broadband subscribers in other technologies are:  DSL 1,563,321 users, HFC 43,929 users, Wimax 245,284 users, FTTH 20,549 users, EvDo 1,273,184 users and others 6,160 users.

Broadband users surpass 23.6million mark in Pakistan

Experts are of the view that more portability like WiFi and Mingles have added to the increased penetration of 3G and 4G services which has led to this mount in Broadband usge. Also the recent AJK and Gilgit Baltistan auction of the spectrum has been very encouraging for the growth of the broadband across the country. In addition to this, Mobilink is overtaking its competitors to become one 3G player after official figures were revealed by PTA.

The 4G and 3G services are providing a greater accessibility to use the smartphones for education, businesses, communication, entertainment, E-learning and primarily and greater access to enjoy knowledge and the growing scope of e-commerce.
