In a couple of days after the Blackberry analyst and Company’s financial report came out ad clearly indicated that Priv sales did not meet the expectations, the company put the handset on a permanent price cut that is $649.
The initial price of the Priv was $699. However, some of the retailers have already cut down the price due to low demand. But sadly, this $50 price cut is not likely to make a mark again.
Most of the smartphone buyers are already aware what the BB Priv is offering. It is the BlackBerry’s first Android-powered handset. As far as the hardware is concerned, Priv offers 5.4-inch AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 1440 by 2560 pixels and a physical QWERTY sliding keyboard. It runs on a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable native storage.
Software-wise, the Priv is driven by more security-oriented Android 5.1 Lollipop, and the company also promised to upgrade it to Android 6.0 Marshmallow later in 2016.
