BlackBerry announces BlackBerry Leap.

BlackBerry Leap has been made official at MWC press conference yesterday. It is budgeted mid-ranger that is being offered by BlackBerry smartphone family introducing a 5-inch display. Spec-wise, the BlackBerry Leap comes with oldie Snapdragon S4 Plus chip with a 1.5GHz dual-core Krait CPU and 2GB of RAM. In-built storage is 16GB which can be expandable via microSD card slot up to 128GB.

The dimensions of the smartphone measures 144 x 72.8 x 9.5mm and weighs 170 grams. The device is powered by 2,800mAh non-removable battery. BlackBerry claims that the leap provides up to 25 hours of heavy use. In imaging department, it carries an 8MP auto-focus camera with LED flash. It can record 1080p videos at 30fps and has a 5x digital zoom. It runs BlackBerry 10.3.1 out of the box. The Phone will officially launch in April and will be contact free. It is expected to be priced at $275.
