In December 2014, LG was rumored to work on a Windows-powered phone. An unknown LG VW820 handset was also revealed and spotted running Windows OIS which showed that is interested in Windows once again after working for quite a while with Google’s Android.Few days back we found the same device listed on LGE open source software notice. That’s not something you would find with a product running Microsoft software, but this does confirm that the device is real and will launch soon.Furthermore, the LG VW820 has passed the Bluetooth SIG certification as well, and it’s unsurprisingly listed as a “smartphone”.

Apple confirms manufacturing windows-powered phone

LG VW820 has a 4.7-inch 480×854 touchscreen which shows it is rather an entry-level phone. No dates of launch and unveiling has been mentioned yet by the company. The device might not launch running Windows 10. So, we are expecting the device will be showcased very soon with Windows Phone 8.1 on board.Past rumors show that Verizon might offer a new LG-made Windows smartphone soon, on the other hand, it’s also possible that it will come in global version.
