The MWC does not happen at one place during a year. In order to make it not solely west-based, while showcasing mobiles at Barcelona, the GSMA conducts a similar event in Shanghai, which is more East Asian.

This time GSMA has made another announcement for a biggest market of mobile phones, which will also conduct the event. This event will be dubbed Indian Mobile Congress. The Congress will be held in September.

The event will be held in Delhi and is likely to be attended by the giants like Facebook, Huawei, Lenovo, Ericsson, Cisco etc. But, no attendees have been confirmed as yet.

The IMC will be the first mobile congress in the history of country which is major development towards the biggest market of mobile phones in South East Asia.

The whole region now aspires for affordable, yet innovative technology and this will be the first step towards realizing the needs of the customers there.

The IMC will last three days KICKING OFF from September 27, 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
