There are two significant updates in case of Apple Music; first, it has now reached 40 million paying subscribers, and second, it has now got the new Vice President namely Oliver Schusser.

The new VP has been working in Apple for the last 14 years and has remained an active part of App Store, TV, movies and iTunes sections along with Podcasts and iBooks.

The 40-million mark by Apple Music is pretty remarkable; however, the past predictions about it surpassing Spotify by the end of Summer of this year were mere exaggerations. This is because Spotify has 70 million paying subscribers along with about 90 million users on its ad-supported app.

Spotify expects to reach 200-million users marks by the end of 2018. However, if we are concerned about the quality, it must be ensured that Apple Music has a stock of about 40 million songs as compared to only 30 million songs provided by Spotify.
