Xiaomi has finally unveiled the New Year treat for its customers. The Redmi 2 has now been officially announced by the giant seller. It has a 4.7″ 720p screen and comes with 64-bit chipset and dual-SIM supporting dual 4G connectivity. The new version is quite similar to original in terms of screen but is marginally compact. Xiaomi has also enabled color temperature adjustment.

It runs on quad Cortex-A53 at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM adnAdreno 306 accompanying 8GB of built-in storage, expandable with 32GB microSD cards. TheXiaomi Redmi 2 is dual-SIMmed each supporting4G LTE connectivity. Additional connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS + GLONASS + Beidou positioning. It is powered by 2,200mAh Li-Po battery.

In camera department Redmi 2 offers an 8MP shooter and a 2MP/720p front-facing camera.

The Xiaomi Redmi 2will launch in China on January 9. It is priced at CNY 700 which makes $110internationally. Xiaomi’s new Mi flagship is also expected on January 15.
