Xiaomi which initially started as manufacturer that makes clones of Apple, is now making phones of its own with original design at very affordable rates representing a true value for money. It has recently unveiled its massive 6.44-inch Xiaomi Mi Max.

The handset is currently being released in China only and there is no news on whether it will go global or not. Especially since Xiaomi has operating it physical stores in US and Europe but yet not decided to sell its handsets in the regions. With this in mind, here is what the big device is all about. The Xiaomi Mi Max has 6.44-inch Quad HD display with a pixel resolution of 1440 x 2560. It comes in two chipset versions. One will run on a Snapdragon 650 with 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The other will be Snapdragon 625 version with two memory configurations. One is 3GB/64 GB internal storage and the second is 4GB RAM with 128 GB native memory.

In camera department, it has 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 lens and phase detection AF and 5MP front camera. It is powered by a beefy 4,850mAh battery. It runs Android with latest MIUI on top.

The dimensions of Xiaomi Mi Max are 173.1 mm x 88.3 mm x 7.5 mm and weighs 203 grams. It do have performance capacity but with the kind of chipset it carries, it will not be blazing enough to grab the attention of the leading industry performers. So go grab it if you really want something big to handle.
