Xiaomi is still a year away from entering US smartphone market, says Huggo Barra

The Xiaomi Vice President, Huggo Barra, has confirmed the company eventually plan for US expansion. In the recent interview when this matter was stressed Barra said that “it is no less than a year Plus, away.”

We definitely understand entering a market is not a piece of cake, let alone the US market is an infinitely complicated process full of legal issues, certification requirements and production, shipping and support hustles. Still the Vice President seems quite determined and given the right time and conditions, we can only expect that Xiaomi will deliver on its promise and move up to well developed markets such as the US one.
