Bain & Company, a leadership consulting firm did a research according to which Apple, Google, Netflix and Dell 40% more productive than any other average company.Many of us think that’s because they have top tier employees, the high performers who let the work done quickly and efficiently, that is the case said Micheal Mankin the Bain & Company partner.

Their study seeks help from Economist’s research section, Mankins said, ‘our research found that these companies have 16% star players, while other companies have 15%. They start with about the same mix of star layers but are able to produce dramatically more output.’

Difference lies how those high performing companies treat those star players.

Time, talent and energy are the three major components which impact productivity of human capital.

Example, Apple took 600 engineers to develop, debug and deploy IOS 10 in less than 2 years, whereas Microsoft took 5 years to develop, debug and retract Vista with 10,000 engineers.
