  Uzair Khan

The Huawei returns in the market and this time with its newly launched first ever phablet. It has come with two credible midrangers which helps Huawei to stand confidently against its competing Flagships. It’s a solid 6 inch device with premium looks, compact display and a chipset. It was built to stand high and outclass and outperform it competition rather to just shrink it.

It has been smartly trying to impress the public in almost every aspect. With an aluminum body 6 inch display and 1080 resolution, the device Kirin 920 chipset is powering the Mate7. The device with its true dimensions offers all-round connectivity and 13 megapixel camera.

In fingerprint security, Huawei is beginner and has been found a quick learner. What it implemented is superior to renowned solution in the industry. The device also comes with easy to access and built-in scanner, which is fast and secure, offering touch and NFC.  Besides other features there is 4100mAh battery powered to keep up the huge burden of usage. It also offers a relatively high battery time.

The list of its key features is:

  • Cat. 6 LTE connectivity, 300Mbps rated download speed
  • Optional dual-SIM model for certain markets and you choose to use the second slot as either a SIM or a microSD slot)
  • 6″ 16M-color 1080p IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla Glass 3, usable with gloves
  • Android OS v4.4.2 KitKat with Emotion UI v3.0
  • Quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7, Mali-T628 GPU; 2GB or 3GB of RAM; Huawei Kirin 925 chipset
  • 13MP autofocus camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording @ 30fps
  • 5MP front-facing camera, 720p video recording, selfie panorama mode

It prime disadvantages are non-exchangeable battery, no 4K or 1080P recording @60 fps. Huawei Ascend Mate7 is trying to be competitive in two different price brackets and probably for this reason it comes with 2GB RAM in 16GB version and 3GB RAM in 32GB version.

With less advance recording modes, an upgraded camera, a huge battery and 6 “display, Huawei Ascend Mate7 is presumed to be setting foot on the arena firmly. The rest will soon emerge as the battle continues. I hope you like the review.
