The Hidden Mouse with iPhone’s Keyboard: Did You Know That?

  MPC Team

In 10 years of Apple iPhone’s life, it has gone through many changes and improvements. However, editing the text is still a crucial problem. In order to make it easy for the users, iPhone has been introduced with 3D Touch, which has so far been featured in 6S, 6S Plus, 7 and 7 Plus editions of iPhone. These versions also have a hidden feature that makes cursor movement fast, easy and accurate.

How to Activate This Feature:

On 3D Touch iPhones, the default keyboard has hidden track pad. To activate it, press any key of the keyboard firmly until the keys turn to blank. Now you can feel a haptic tap. The keyboard really becomes a track pad now, and as you slide your finger around the keyboard, the on-screen cursor follows as you do. Your cursor is now activated.

Moreover, if you want to select some text, ease the pressure that you are applying against the screen without letting it go, then press firmly again to start highlighting the text. You just need to get used to this, and once you get command, it becomes easy for you to edit the text.

How You Can Do For Older IPhone:

If you have an iPhone other than the above mentioned versions, there are only two ways for moving the cursor to edit texts.

  1. Tap on the screen where you want your cursor to go. It works, but not that accurate.
  2. Press and hold on the screen of your phone to bring up the magnifying glasss. This works better than the tapping one.

Hopefully now you can easily master yourselves in editing with speed and accuracy.
